Indiana National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (INOFAS) is an affiliate of the National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. INOFAS is a not for profit corporation and affiliate of NOFAS. We operate with an Executive Board and our Articles of Incorporation are on file with State of Indiana. As of 2017, we are a subsidiary of Mental Health America of Indiana.

INOFAS believes that Indiana can be a place where all individuals are born free from alcohol exposure, educates the public, professionals, and policymakers about the risk of alcohol use during pregnancy and FASD, the leading known preventable cause of brain damage, developmental disabilities, and birth defects, and a leading known cause of learning disabilities and behavioral problems in children, adolescents, and adults.

Each of our board members either have a family member on the FAS Spectrum or have direct contact with individuals who do and have prior experience with not for profits.

INOFAS’s mission

Indiana NOFAS, Inc. seeks to reduce the number of individuals born with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) as well as support individuals and families living with FASD.
