Special Events

Mental Health America of Indiana brings together the behavioral health community in Indiana four times a year to celebrate our victories! Our state-wide events are a way for consumers, advocates, professionals, and stakeholders to network and recognize our strides forward in mental health and addiction. We know that many who live with mental health conditions may not be recognized for their fight for recovery and together, our events shine light on stigma reduction, innovation, and resiliency. To learn more about how you can become involved or to attend our special events check out the events below!

Removing the Mask Gala

Join Mental Health America of Indiana as we “remove the mask” on mental health and addiction. Each October we bring together the behavioral health community and ask that you dress in costume and a mask, so as to symbolize our ability to remove the stigma of mental health and addiction!

Heroes for Recovery

Our Heroes For Recovery Annual Luncheon celebrates the dedication and commitment of those who truly promote recovery of individuals in their ongoing treatment of serious and persistent mental illness or addiction. We ask that you nominate a Hero For Recovery in the following categories: Mental Health and Addiction Professional, Government Leader, Media, Recovery Residence, or Consumer.

Hoosier Idol

Are you interested in mental health advocacy? Well then this is the event for you! Mental Health America of Indiana celebrates the end of the legislative session with a talent show starring members of the Indiana General Assembly. Get ready to network with Indiana State Government leaders.

Recovery Rally

As part of Recovery Month, each September MHAI hosts a Recovery Rally. This event includes speakers, food, music, and a time to celebrate the recovery community. We hope to gather not only those in recovery, but our Indiana community as a whole. This is a family friendly event and activities are friendly for all ages!
