ISPN

The Indiana Suicide Prevention Network (ISPN) is comprised of numerous stakeholders from both the private and public sectors committed to a old and aspirational goal of zero suicides for the state of Indiana. Collectively, we work to advance suicide prevention by improving public knowledge, practice, understanding, and policy, including planning and hosting the annual Indiana Suicide Prevention Conference, and creating and facilitating the state suicide prevention plan framework. The structure of the national Zero Suicide seven (7) essential elements provides the backbone of this framework, promoting a systematic approach to suicide prevention. Suicide affects everyone; therefore, this approach is applicable to all Indiana residents, regardless of demographics. We firmly believe that suicide is a public health and not solely a mental health issue. ISPN works to prevent suicide by advancing the conversation, eliminating stigma, and building hope. ISPN envisions living in a state in which people no longer die by suicide.
