Depression can be a whole body illness

Some people have what is called “bipolar disorder.” They experience cycles of terrible lows and inappropriate highs. These illnesses often interfere with normal functioning and cause pain and suffering, not only to those who suffer the illness, but their family and friends as well. Depression affects the way a person eats, sleeps, and the way they feel about themselves. Unfortunately, many people do not recognize that they have a treatable illness.
