Mental Health America of Indiana (MHAI) is a affiliate of Mental Health America, the nation’s leading nonprofit advocating for people’s mental illness and promoting the mental health of all Americans. Our work in Indiana for mental health prevention services, early identification and intervention, integrated care, mental health services, and mental health support are identified as critical elements of the overall wellness for all Hoosiers – with recovery as the goal.
MHAI has 40 staff members supporting prevention, education, recovery, advocacy and therapeutic treatment for Hoosiers with mental health and substance use disorders.
Our mission is to improve mental health of citizens, and victory over mental heath and substance use disorders through education, advocacy and health reform.
MHAI continues the mission as guided by the founding leaders of improving attitude, service, prevention, and promotion for mental health in Indiana.
